Instagram was already determined to make Edits your go-to tool for editing Reels, but now it wants you to use it for carousels too.
Instagram just added a carousel editor to Edits, letting you mix photos and videos in a single post, experiment with layouts, and throw in text, stickers, filters and cutouts. You can even stretch one photo or headline across several slides, creating that satisfying swipe that keeps people scrolling.
The best part for anyone with a signature aesthetic: your saved fonts, colors, audio and presets carry over from your other Edits projects. Your carousels and Reels can finally look like they belong to the same person.
When you’re done, you can share it straight to Instagram or download it for later. The feature is available on iOS for now, with Android coming soon.
