Showing a retirement ad to a 19-year-old is a quick way to get ignored. Meta is making that a lot easier to avoid.
On 19 October 2026, Meta launched “Choose an audience for each ad creative”, a new setting that allows advertisers to select an age range and gender for each creative within the same ad set.
What changed?
Until now, every ad in an ad set targeted the same audience. If you sold different products to different people, you had to build a separate ad set for each one and manage them all. Now you can simply turn the setting on and match each creative to the audience it was made for.
Who can use it?
Advertisers can use it now, and it’s also available through Meta’s Marketing API. Meaning agencies and third-party ad tools connected to Meta can build it into their setup. Fewer ad sets to manage, and each ad lands in front of the people it was actually made for.
