Facebook adds “Inventory Filter”

Facebook adds “Inventory Filter”
Facebook continues to work on options that give advertisers better control over where their ads may appear. It is introducing “Inventory Filter”, a new brand safety control that lets advertisers control their ad placement within the context of strong language. The Inventory Filter comes in three levels, which are:
  • Limited inventory offers maximum protection, similar to the opt-in category exclusions available today
  • Standard inventory provides moderate protection and is the default choice when placing ads. This is the same as no category exclusions today.
  • Full inventory selects minimal protection and ads may be delivered to all eligible content.
Inventory Filter will apply to all ads delivered within Instant Articles, Audience Network and Facebook in-stream video. This is a good move from Facebook, giving advertisers more tools to ensure that their ads don’t appear alongside offensive content and create unwanted association. Read more here.
