In a recent move, LinkedIn announced the removal of its Top Voice badges for collaborative articles. These badges were previously awarded to users who co-authored articles on the platform, signifying a level of authority and expertise in their field.
So why is LinkedIn removing these badges? According to the platform, maintaining consistent quality standards for co-authored content proved to be a challenge. Additionally, concerns arose around the legitimacy of some badges, with some recipients not necessarily qualifying as true experts.
What does this mean for the future of collaborative articles on LinkedIn? It remains to be seen. While the badges are no more, collaborative content is still a valuable tool for establishing thought leadership and industry credibility.
