TikTok’s new tools come in a strike!

TikTok has rolled out a collection of advanced in-house tools to give content creators more freedom in customizing their creations without any external editing apps.

Users can now cut and play with videos, sounds, text, and images. They can also adjust video playback speeds and throw in some effects inside the frames of a clip. All inside TikTok’s new intuitive studio.

And to further woo the competition with its Meta-owned archenemy, TikTok has also increased its text description limit to 2,000 characters.

But that’s not the full story. TikTok’s new chip in the block, ‘Photo Mode’ will allow users to ditch videos and opt for carousels to showcase their stills, while giving their audience the utter liberty to swipe at their own pacing. Musical soundtrack additions are already on TikTok. It does ring a loudly familiar jingle bell though – *cough cough, Instagram* – right?
