Twitter allows users to follow ‘Topics’
Twitter is rolling out ‘Topics’, a new option that aims to enhance content discovery and boost engagement on the platform.
The new feature will enable users to follow certain topics, the same way they follow individual accounts.
As explained by The Verge:
“You will be able to follow more than 300 “topics” across sports, entertainment, and gaming, just as you are currently able to follow individual accounts. In return, you’ll see tweets from accounts that you don’t follow that have credibility on these subjects.”
Topics, in principle, is similar to how Instagram allow users to follow hashtags and have them appear within their News Feed.
