The first tier, Premium Basic, is priced at $3 per month and offers a post editing option, longer posts, and encrypted DMs, along with a slight boost in post visibility. The catch here: Premium Basic doesn’t offer the sought-after blue checkmark.
In contrast, Premium+ includes all Premium benefits alongside the removal of ads, with a $16 per month fee to compensate for the ad revenue loss. While the ad-free experience may appeal to some users, the cost may not justify the benefit for most. Both of these new subscription options are currently accessible only through the web version, to avoid incurring fees from the App Store and Google Store.
It remains to be seen whether the $1 fee for engaging in the app will still apply for subscribing users.
