Twitter reverses course on some decisions

Looks like Twitter has backtracked some unpopular decisions it made recently, easing login restrictions and giving unregistered outsiders more freedom to access content.

Days after the company’s initial announcement, it was noticed that certain content was once again visible to users browsing Twitter’s web version without logging in. However, direct links to profiles and the Explore page were still inaccessible.

To further clarify, you can only catch a glimpse of the tweet itself, while replies and threads are still trapped behind the iron gates of the login page.

Also, search engines like Google were no longer locked out from indexing Twitter content for search ranking purposes.

With Elon Musk around, things are constantly shapeshifting. Who knows what other surprises Twitter has in store for us?
