When Jack Dorsey handed over the Twitter CEO role, Bluesky suddenly surfaced.

Bluesky will be launching its own website soon, The AT Protocol, to become the project’s underlying code, and is also close to shipping Bluesky Social.

‘It will allow [Twitter] to access and contribute to a much larger corpus of public conversation, focus our efforts on building open recommendation algorithms which promote healthy conversation, and will force us to be far more innovative than in the past’ announced Dorsey in 2019.

We don’t know how Twitter feels about Bluesky claiming to be the roadmap to user freedom from government influence toward a personal data economy. Will Bluesky be a rival?
