Instagram developing its own “Friend Map”
Instagram is working on a “Friend Map” feature similar to Snapchat’s Snap Map, allowing users to view their friends’ locations in real-time.
It would also let users choose who can see their location and post short messages on the map. Instagram may be trying to appeal to users who were fans of the now-shut-down social map app Zenly.
It’s important to note that, at this stage, the “Friend Map” feature is still in its internal testing phase, and there’s no official confirmation of its public release.
