Meta influencer marketing is getting its Yelp moment
Finding the right influencer has always been part art, part science, and part trial and error. Meta has announced updates to its Creator Marketplace that might genuinely make brands’ lives easier.
The platform will highlight creators who have tagged your brand in their content or explicitly expressed interest in partnering with you, which sounds simple until you realize that previously, brands were essentially flying blind, reaching out to creators based on demographic data and prayer.
Meta’s also introducing badges that highlight creators predicted to drive high ad performance for your brand. The badges indicate: creators with extensive ads experience, those predicted to drive high-performing ads for your brand specifically, and past partnership campaign performance.
The new “Similar Creators” search function is Meta’s way of saying “found a creator who works? Here are more just like them.” It’s based on your top-performing partners. This is particularly valuable for brands that have found their groove with specific creator types but want to scale without reinventing the wheel.
In addition, Meta is expanding Creator Marketplace access to all businesses globally, up from the initial 19 countries. This is significant not only for geographic reach, but for what it signals about creator economy maturation.
What Meta’s really doing here is professionalizing influencer marketing. These updates push creator partnerships further away from casual collaborations toward data-driven business decisions.
