Meta is betting big on messaging ads

Meta just announced some big changes to how businesses can advertise on their platforms. The main focus? Making messaging ads, specifically those on WhatsApp, work better for everyone.
Now, you can create ads for Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Threads all from one place. Before this, managing WhatsApp status ads was separate and more complicated. Now it’s all on the same dashboard.
Meta’s AI will also help decide where your ads perform best and move your budget around automatically. So if your WhatsApp ads are working better than your Facebook ones, more money goes to WhatsApp.
Meta is also improving their business chatbots for WhatsApp. These bots can now recommend products to customers, answer basic questions 24/7, follow up after purchases, and help complete sales on your website.
The catch? Meta admits these bots can be annoying if you don’t set them up right. So why are they placing their bets on such technology? Maybe because of the great message migration history, the reason behind people texting more and posting less on social media.
In all cases, businesses and brands will need to be thoughtful about how they use these tools.
