Three-minute Reels coming your way!

Instagram is experimenting with longer Reels, in an evident move to rival TikTok. 

As we all know, Reels are currently limited to 90 seconds, but Instagram plans on upping the limit to a whopping three minutes and is already nudging users to follow the lead. This comes as a response to TikTok’s latest efforts to incentivize the creation of longer videos.

From a creator’s point of view, longer Reels offer ample room for in-depth product placements and deeper storytelling. However, it remains uncertain whether users will embrace lengthier videos amidst decreasing attention spans and the demand for concise content.
