TikTok’s going rogue on e-Commerce
Last week was all about fulfillment centers, now it’s ‘Project Aquaman’.
TikTok is high and mighty about its ventures into online shopping dominion, with its latest move entailing crystal-clear intentions to export its Chinese success stories to the American market via its new program.
Through this initiative, social media agencies in China and e-Commerce companies in USA will be training brands and coaching manufacturers to host live shopping streams. No wonder the job postings increased on LinkedIn. But this is no new approach. Rest of World had reported in September that TikTok was weaving influencer agency partnerships not just in China, USA and, UK, but also in the Middle East, to recruit content creators and teach them the best practices of live streaming.
