YouTube ramping up its live shopping experience
YouTube will soon allow its creators to schedule product reveals in their live streams via Product Drops.
Previously, streamers had to upload all new merchandise details before going live. And that was a huge anticipation killer that dampened viewer excitement.
But soon enough, YouTubers with connected Shopify stores or direct access to Google Merchant Center can set up the drop time and date from YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Until they go live, their shelves will display a mystery product accompanied by a timer bar.
