Join the TikTok Creative Challenge
Attention, fellow content creators – TikTok just launched its Creative Challenge program that promises to dole out hefty rewards for show-stopper video ads!
Similar to TikTok’s Open Applications and the recently revamped Creativity Program Beta, creators can audition to a brand “challenge” set by one of TikTok’s ad partners and submit their high-quality videos for a chance at getting selected.
If creators win the paid collab jackpot, their videos will make it into the “For You” feed as in-stream ads, instead of being published on their profiles. This way, sponsored content won’t be saturating their TikTok presence.
In terms of cash flow sustainability, payouts may fluctuate depending on metrics like views, clicks and conversions. Nonetheless, chosen creators will have utter freedom to negotiate with brands, set their own prices and retain full creative autonomy (eg: accepting or appealing revisions).
To join the Challenge, you must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 50,000 followers. TikTok’s Creative Challenge is currently being piloted with US-based creators, with plans for gradual global expansion in sight.
In a nutshell, TikTok’s surely sweetening the deal for its top talents, as it streamlines business-creator collaborations and redefines brand partnerships.
