X is exploring ways to enhance its Explore page by integrating Grok chatbot-generated summaries of trending topics. While this move could increase user engagement, some have expressed concerns that it might diminish the spirit of exploration.

Grok is X’s chatbot tool for Premium+ subscribers, developed in response to Elon Musk’s dispute with OpenAI. Musk had donated $10 million to OpenAI, which has since transitioned into a for-profit business, leading Musk to develop his own chatbot. 

This move is seen as an expensive retaliation against OpenAI for their change in direction.
