Meta tests Threads bonus program
Meta is experimenting with incentives to boost engagement on Threads, its Twitter-like app.
Basically, they’re hoping to lure creators in with cold, hard cash, and in turn, breathe some life into Threads. The “Threads Bonus Program” aims to incentivize users to create high-quality content and earn money based on their posts’ performance or the volume of content they share.
However, only posts that attract a significant audience, exceeding 2,500 eligible views, qualify for payouts. Currently, the program operates on an invitation-only basis. Details like eligibility criteria and payout structures remain shrouded in secrecy.
This initiative resembles Meta’s past strategy with Reels on Instagram. Whether this becomes a long-term strategy or a stepping stone for future endeavors, it’s definitely a development worth tracking.
