A new monetization feature is being tested on Instagram, called Creator Subscriptions. With this update, creators will be able to charge their followers a subscription fee to have access to exclusive Instagram Live videos and Stories. 

Creators can set their own fee starting at $0.99 all the way up to $99.99 based on how much they value their content. Subscribers will have access to exclusive content and will be able to engage in more personal ways with the creator.

The biggest challenge in all this? Will creators be able to create content that is compelling enough for users to pay for it?
