Snapchat has leveled up its user experience with an exciting new AI-infused feature, adding visual flair to the mix after joining the chatbot party a few months ago.

Plus subscribers can now send My AI a picture of their food or outfits and receive a more personalized answer that accommodates images alongside text-based responses. 

However, it seems that Snapchat’s chatbot still runs on rudimentary image-understanding technologies. Struggling to understand the photos you send, My AI ends up generating the most random answers (according to many user reports). Its responses are so otherworldly, as if coming from an extraterrestrial being grappling with adapting to 2023 Earth. 

Nonetheless, the addition of visual cues does hold promise for boosting My AI engagement and surely aligns with Snapchat’s AI-generated dreamscapes that are still in development.
