Get ready for some serious Thread-sanity because Meta’s Threads is stepping up its game to give X a run for its money.

The app is about to introduce a “Trending Topics” feed to help users stay up-to-date with the latest trends and engage in real-time discussions. 

Additionally, reports have revealed that Threads is testing GIFs and in-stream polls. As if that wasn’t enough, Threads is taking it up a notch by introducing audio posts called “Voice Threads.”

Mark Zuckerberg also announced that Threads users can now edit their posts within five minutes of publishing. Unlike X, Threads offers the edit button for free to users on both mobile and web.
