YouTube drops huge updates for its creators

Fresh out of the updates oven is a handful of creator-dedicated features ushering in a new era for YouTube.

As it bids adieu to its fleeting Story snippets, the video mogul is now shifting focus to Community Posts (and Shorts).

Previously available for select Channels only, Community Posts are getting expanded to all YouTube creators.

This post format bears an expiration timer that grants creators control over their lifespan. In terms of accessibility, Creator Posts will show up in a dedicated tab on your Channel page.

YouTube is also expanding polls and quizzes for iOS and web users. Quiz Posts are displayed as interactive cards in the video player, where viewers can respond and see their results in real time.

Finally, YouTube is kick-starting its five-week Live Shopping Series to help brands optimize their shopping experiences for app dwellers.

With the addition of fun polls, test your followers’ knowledge and get to know the trivia masters of your YouTube community!

PS: Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Live Shopping Fridays 😉
