Facebook introduces a support format for 3D posts
The social-giant has rolled out a range of new support options that will make it easier for users to create and share high-quality 3D images on the Newsfeed.
Made possible through the addition of gITF 2.0 file format support, users will be able to use additional textures, lighting, realistic rendering techniques and directly drag and drop 3D images into Facebook posts.
Sony is among the very first brands who published a post with an embedded and rotatable 3D object.
This feature could certainly unlock a whole new world of opportunities for brands to creatively and innovatively showcase their products.
