Facebook automates intellectual property tool

Have you ever seen your original artwork or your business’ branded photograph being used by third parties in posts or even ads without your consent?

Then this is for you!

Facebook is releasing an update to its Rights Manager tool, which is a feature in Creator Studio that allows you to control how your content is shared across Facebook apps. The update is rolling out Rights Manager for Images, an even more powerful tool that employs image matching technology to detect if any other account is using your images without your authorization.

Facebook explains that:

To access Rights Manager, Page admins can submit an application for content they’ve created and want to protect. Rights Manager will find matching content on Facebook and Instagram. Settings can be adjusted to match things like ownership that should apply worldwide or only in certain locations.”
