Instagram’s hot new kid on the block, Threads, has finally taken a stand against pesky spammers with its new action rate limits.

However, counter to the headlines circulating online, Thread’s rate limitations are completely different from the blowback of Twitter’s controversial viewing limitations. 

Instead, Threads merely implemented industry-standard limits that are commonly used by all social media platforms, a practice that even predates Musk’s ownership of Twitter.

This entails targeting unusual behavior such as excessive commenting and following activities over a short period of time.
