TikTok prepares further eCommerce capabilities for posts

TikTok is raising its voice in the e-commerce landscape!

The relatively new platform is taking further steps to monetize its content. It is currently testing a new option that will let users add links into bios and eCommerce URLS within video uploads.

A spokesperson from the platform comments on the new test as follows:

“The company is known to launch things quietly,” he said. He added that this rollout could mark a shift in the relationship between the brands on TikTok and the creators they sponsor. 

The option is currently in beta test to select influencers in the US.
