YouTube Shorts is gaining momentum, hitting 30 billion views daily as per Google’s latest earnings report – four times higher than last year’s average.
Google has announced that it is now bringing ads to YouTube Shorts, providing a new monetization pathway across its short-form content.
Phillipp Schindler, Google’s Chief Business Officer, comments on the new test as follows:
“We’re testing ads on Shorts with products like App Install and video action campaigns. And while it’s still early days, we’re encouraged by initial advertiser feedback and results.”
The rollout date of this feature is still unclear, but we certainly believe that exciting times are ahead with YouTube doubling down on Shorts.
