Add your location to Shorts

Walking in the footsteps of TikTok, YouTube is trying to offer you more relevant content by allowing its Shorts creators to add a layer of geographic nuance to their uploaded verticals, a big contextual move for localizing recommendations.

This can be achieved with the help of new location tags being cooked in Google labs at the moment. The anticipated update will add a ‘Location’ row inside the ‘Add details’ page upon uploading your designated Short, replacing the need for the app’s metadata editor after the clip has been posted.
